Event Sponsors

What: The United States Olympic Education Center is hosting the Superior Health Partners 2010 USA Weightlifting National Collegiate Championships. Over 100 college students from around the country will descend on Marquette for three days of weightlifting competition. This is the first time the USOEC has hosted an event dedicated to weightlifting.

When: The 2010 USA Weightlifting National Collegiate  Championships will take place April 16-18.

Where: The competition will be held at the Berry Events Center on Northern Michigan University's campus. 

Why: This event will highlight a crowd favorite from past USOEC Olympic Challenges and bring the Olympic spirit back to Marquette. USOEC athletes will compete against weightlifters from around the country over three days in the Berry Events Center. We want to make the USOEC the premiere entity of weightlifting in the United States.

How: We could not make this event possible without the support of our sponsors. The USOEC has hosted world-class events, such as the 2009 Short Track Speedskating World Cup and the 2010 Olympic Team Trials, but it could not have been done without community support.  We hope that this support will continue to make the National Collegiate Championships just as successful.  We encourage you to become a sponsor, so similar exciting events can come to NMU in the future.
