About the Conference

We invite you to attend ISBS 2010 in Marquette, Michigan, USA.

The conference runs Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23.

A preconference symposium on Teaching Biomechanics  will be held from 9:00 until 15:00 on July 19.

The main conference features keynote lectures on Modeling Biomechanics, Sprint Training, Kicking in Soccer, Artistic Gymnastics, Baseball Pitching, Novel Techniques of Motion Analysis, and Paralympic Games—the New Frontier.

Applied sessions will be held on Gymnastics, Nordic Skiing, Olympic Weightlifting, Feedback for Athletes, and Motion Analysis.

Oral and poster sessions will be presented. Also, for the first time, a thematic poster session on Disabled Sports will be convened.

Continuing Education Units will be available from the National Strength and Conditioning Association for CSCS and CPT certified individuals; while the National Athletic Trainers Association has approved CEUs for certified Athletic Trainers.

This program has been approved for a maximum of 35 hours of Category A continuing education. Certified Athletic Trainers are responsible for claiming only those hours actually spent participating in the continuing education activity.

Social activities will include the choice of an afternoon of adventure activities featuring hiking, mountain biking, canoeing/kayaking, rock climbing or touring an open pit iron mine. A picnic on the shores of Lake Superior will be followed by an evening cruise of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
