What to pack

Average temperatures in July range from a low of 53F/12C to a high of 75F/24C. Days are often pleasant and nights are cool, so bring a variety of clothes that can be layered.  Conference dress is business casual. A light jacket and sunglasses are advised for the Pictured Rocks boat cruise outing. While the summer temperature of Lake Superior is a stiff 40F/4C, some brave souls may wish to pack a swimsuit for a refreshing plunge along our miles of sandy beaches. You may want to pack comfortable walking or running shoes as well, to enjoy the city’s 12 miles of biking/walking paths or a walk around scenic Presque Isle.
