Continuing Education Credit

This program provides 6.5 hours of continuing education credit based on one hour of educational information.To receive continuing education credit, the content of this educational activity must be attended in total. Partial credit will not be offered for those unable to attend the entire conference. If the conference runs longer than stated in this brochure, attendees must be present for the entire conference to receive continuing education credit.

Physicians: The Marquette General Health System is accredited by the Michigan State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Marquette General Health System designates this educational activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: Marquette General Hospital is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin Nurses Association Continuing Education Approval Program Committee, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Nursing contact hours are awarded by converting one hour of instruction time to one contact hour. Upper Peninsula Sports Concussion Summit offers 6.5 Nursing Contact Hours.

EMS: EMS credits have been applied for through Michigan Department of Community Health.

Athletic Trainers: Marquette General Hospital is approved as a provider for BOC Athletic Training continuing education by the Board of Certification. UP Sports Concussion Summit provides 6.5 BOC continuing education credits.
