SCHEDULE FOR NMU NCATE VISIT
MARCH 31-APRIL 4
Hotel Arrangements
- Ramada Inn, 312 W Washington, 228-6000. One mile from
campus. By downtown Marquette with restaurant in hotel and some
restaurants in walking distance.
Hotel and food costs at the hotel are directly billed to NMU. Other
costs can be covered by the NMU credit card or by giving receipts to
Muriel.
- Four suites are reserved. One room per person for
each team member. Can make arrangements for State Consultant, who will
have the State pay for her room if desired as per her request.
- Room 309, Ramada Inn, will serve as the work room for
the Team at the hotel. It will be available for the duration of the
visit from Saturday morning to Wednesday afternoon. It will be
supplied with 4 laptop computers and 2 printers with necessary
connections and supplies, 1 overhead projector, 8 pads of paper, 2
staplers, 6 various sized sticky note pads, 2 reams of paper, 12
formatted disks, easel with pad and markers, box of pencils and pens,
tape and other supplies as requested or deemed necessary. An
assortment of snacks and drinks will be made available.
Transportation Arrangements
- All parties will be picked up from the airport and
transported from the airport to the hotel via the Ramada Inn shuttle
service (call 228-6000 if they are not there when you arrive) or by a
School of Education representative. If there is a problem with either
of these, take a taxi or call Rod Clarken at 228-7668 or Jim Hendricks
at 226-6692.
- Two state cars will be waiting at the Ramada Inn
(keys will be at the desk) and will be for team use throughout the
visit. The cars will be left at the hotel or university at the end of
the visit, whichever is most convenient for the team, and either the
hotel shuttle or a School of Education representative will transport
to the airport.
Work and Exhibit Rooms on Campus
Magers 146 will server as the workroom on campus and
Magers 100 (Director's Office) will serve as the exhibits room during the
visit. Keys to the rooms and cards to enter Magers Hall after hours will
be available at the hotel reception desk for each team member. The same
supplies will be in the University workroom as for the hotel workroom.

This information will serve as the notice
of meetings unless a different form is requested. It will be shared with
all involved parties.

at NMU, 100 Magers. Most documents and exhibits are available on the
web site: www.nmu.edu/education/ncate

Some examples of student work and
confidential items are only available in the exhibits room or School
files. The workrooms at both the hotel and university are also
available throughout the visit.

begins. Set clocks ahead one hour before going to bed.
