Program Information

A scienic view in ViennaYou are about to embark on an amazing experience and incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in European culture and improve your German language proficiency. You will be part of a program created, coordinated and led by Northern Michigan University faculty who pride themselves on the individual attention they provide for each participant.

One of the best ways to prepare for study abroad is to learn as much as possible about the program and Austria prior to your departure. It may mean talking to the coordinators, Professors Goodrich and Strauss; attending the various coordinating meetings; visiting the NMU International Programs Office in 145 Whitman Hall; talking to other faculty, study abroad staff, or students familiar with the program and region; or consulting books and novels about the area. This website will provide you with specific information about the Vienna Program to get you started.
