Career Opportunities

NMU Career Services specialists work with students in the search and preparation for part and full-time employment, as well as internships. The center’s staff will conduct mock interviews, review and aide in building resumes and assist in the search for employment on and off campus.

For convenience to students enrolled in programs offered through the School of Technology and Applied Sciences, Career Services has an office in the Jacobetti Center. Steven Lafond is available in 103-C Jacobetti Center during the fall and spring semesters (not available during the summer sessions). He can be reached by phone at 906-227-2388. During the summer months, students and employees can contact him or other Career Services staff at the main office in room 3502 of C.B. Hedgecock or by calling 227-2800.

The Career Services Web site includes employment opportunities for students, upcoming graduates and alumni, as well as dates for various career fairs on and off campus. Another source for employment listings is The Mining Journal at http://www.miningjournal.net.

Job postings specific to students or alumni from the School of Technology and Applied Sciences will be listed here as well. Currently, there are no available postings.
