A+ Certification is a nationally recognized basic computer maintenance/repair certification that assures employers that applicants and/or employees possess a basic knowledge of computer systems. Various small companies using computer systems do not have a staff dedicate to operating computer systems. Industry employees who have a basic understanding of computer systems are an asset to these companies, as they often serve dual roles. As ubiquitous as computers are, even larger companies with information technology departments recognize the value in staffing persons with basic computer knowledge. Therefore, students enrolled in any major will benefit from A+ Computer certification.
Note: This certification is not a degree. A+ Certification is an additional credential which will make students more competitive and valuable when seeking employment, but A+ Certification alone does not provide an individual with the necessary skills to be employable.
