History

Women’s freestyle wrestling made its Olympic debut at the 2004 Athens Games. The freestyle wrestling program at the United States Olympic Education Center was created on the heels of those Games and is the newest addition to the USOEC.
In its short history the women's freestyle wrestling program has made an impact producing numerous U.S. World Team members at the FILA-Junior, University and Senior level. In just its second year, five members of the USOEC program earned spots on the U.S. National Team.
