B.J. Stupak Scholarship Application

To be considered for the B.J. Stupak Scholarship Program, an athlete must be approved by their NGB and the USOC to live and train at one of the Olympic Training Centers (OTC’s) in Colorado Springs, Lake Placid, and Chula Vista, Calif., or the Olympic Education Center at Northern Michigan University.  Eligible student athletes must be pursuing an education at a Title IV eligible post-secondary institution, and they must meet all rules regarding eligibility for federal financial aid as defined by the institution they attend (i.e. satisfactory academic progress).  To receive the full scholarship, athletes must also be at least one-half time students.

The first step to applying for a Stupak Scholarship is to submit a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid to the U.S. Department of Education. The FAFSA is not considered to be complete until the information has been sent from the U.S. Department of Education to the university you attend.

Once a FAFSA is submitted, please complete the application form and have the Olympic training center director or associate director complete his/her section.  Please answer all questions completely and be sure to print in black ink. For a copy of the current Stupak Scholarship application form please contact the USOEC at 906-227-2888.
