Sailing

The NMU Sailing Club puts Northern Michigan’s largest natural resource to good use. Based out of Lower Harbor, the Sailing Club sets sail on Lake Superior in both the fall and spring seasons. The racing members compete at regattas across the Midwest under the Midwest Collegiate Sailing Association (MCSA) a regional denomination of the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA). Recreational members are welcome to open sails and allowed to travel with the racing team.

Dues
Dues are $200 annually for recreational members and $250 annually for racing members. These costs cover Marquette Yacht Club membership, regatta fees, boat maintenance, MCSA dues and dock usage. Members are also required to purchase a PEIF pass for the year.

Participants Must Supply:
PFD, wetsuit and/or drysuit for sailing dates after October.

Travel
Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, and Iowa.

Practice Times
Monday - Thursday at Lower Harbor

Additional Information
