Lacrosse Team
NMU Lacrosse is a sport club active in the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association (CCLA).  Due to the lack of Varsity programs in the Midwest, the CCLA provides varsity level competition against teams in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana.  Previous to joining the CCLA, NMU Lacrosse was part of the Great Lakes Lacrosse League.  From 2004-06 they were a dominant force in the GLLL competing against teams from colleges in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.  During that time the team went 27-12 never finishing lower than 3rd place out of 20 teams.  In 2006 the team became co-champions sharing the crown with the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  The team plays a spring season with exhibition in the fall.  NMU Lacrosse is looking for interested individuals that have prior playing experience or a strong desire to become quality lacrosse players.
