Dance TeamThe NMU Dance Team is made up of dedicated and talented young women who wish to represent the university in a positive and spirited manner. Members on our team have a diverse background. Some members have been trained in such dance as classical ballet to hip-hop. Some have participated on cheerleading squads, some members have had a strong foundation in gymnastics, some have experience in kick lines, and other members come from elite pompon programs. This diversity makes our team remarkable because we draw on each others’ strengths to succeed. As a team member, we have the opportunity to perform at some home football games, home volleyball games, home men’s and women’s basketball games, and various university and community functions. Through performances, appearances, and volunteer activities, the Northern Michigan University Dance Team serves as NMU ambassadors.
