Ben Olsen

Strength Coach, Women's Basketball
At NMU Since 2006

Ben Olsen serves the Northern Michigan University women's basketball program as a strength coach. A 2000 graduate of Iron Mountain High School, Olsen played three years of basketball for the Mountaineers.

He played as a guard at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wis. before transferring to NMU. He graduate from NMU with a bachelor's degree in physical education and secondary education in 2005. Currently, Olsen is working on his certification in social studies at NMU. Olsen and his wife, Amber, a registered nurse on the cardiac unit at Marquette General Hospital.
