High School: Lettered four times in basketball at Marquette Senior High School under Karla Strand.  Named the 2006 Great Northern Conference Player of the Year.  Selected as the 2006 Upper Peninsula Class A-B-C Player of the Year.  Three-time first team All-Great Northern Conference selection.  Class A fourth team all-state in 2006.  Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) Class A honorable mention all-state (2006).  Selected to the BCAM Academic All-State Team in 2006.  Team was conference and Team of the Year in the U.P. all four years.  Broke school record for career rebounds (789).

Personal: Likes to stay active.  Daughter of Jayne and Steve Powers.  Majoring in biology. Played AAU basketball for the Marquette Magic.  Both parents were student-athletes at Augustana College.  Born on October 27, 1988.
