2006-09:  Attended Michigan Tech and Gogebic Community College.

High School:  Lettered in basketball four times at Calumet High School under Keith Willis. Holds school record in assists and steals.  Class A-B-C U.P. Player of the Year in 2005.  Two-time first team all-conference.  Conference MVP in 2004.  First team all-state in 2005 and a member of the U.P. Dream Team.  Also participated in volleyball and track.  First team all-conference in volleyball.  Two-time conference MVP in track.  School and U.P. record holder in 200-meter hurdles.

Personal:  Likes to snowboard and watch sports.  Majoring in nursing.  Daughter of Bonnie and Kurt Helminen.  Born on July 14, 1987.
