2006-07: Named to the CCSA All-Conference Team. Finished 26th in the 10k freestyle and 12th in the 20k classic at the NCAA Championships. Placed fifth in the10k freestyle and fifth in the 15k classic at the NCAA Central Regional Championships. Finished 18th in the 9.6k freestyle and 16th in the 15k classic at the Telemark Super Tour event. Placed third in the 10k classic and fourth in the 15k freestyle at the Mt. Itasca Northern American Super Tour event. Finished 57th in the 10k classic and 33rd in the 15k freestyle at the U.S. Cross Country Skiing Championships. Placed third in the 10k classic at the Grandview XC Challenge. Earned his second varsity ski letter.
2005-06: Placed 10th in the 10k freestyle and 11th in the 10k classic at the North American Super Tour at Mt. Itasca. Finished fourth in the 10k classic and 14th in the 15k freestyle at the Telemark Northern American Super Tour. Placed seventh in the 10k classic and 10th in the 15k freestyle at the CCSA Regional Championships. Earned his first varsity ski letter. Named Freshman of the Year and Co-Most Improved on the men’s nordic ski team. High School: Skied at the Sugar Bowl Academy and for the Auburn Ski Club under Glenn Jobe and Jeff Schloss. Named the team captain at Sugar Bowl all four years. Was the 2002 California state champion. Placed 4th and 5th at the Junior National Championships in 2004. Personal: Born May 28, 1985. Majoring in Product Design. Son of Michel and Paul Violett. Enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, back packing, rock climbing, the summer, the sun, music, movies, and hanging out with chill people. His brother Zach skied for the University of Alaska-Anchorage from 2001-2004. |
