High School: Went to Bjerk VGS in Oslo Norway where he was coached by Arne Brathen.  Skied for the Kjelsaas IL club team under coach Kare Tonne. 

Personal: Born December 23, 1986. Majoring in Construction Management.  Likes to be with friends, telemark skiing, kiteskiing, soccer, and nordic skiing. Son of Britt Stuge and Oyvind Banerud. 

2008-09: Named NCAA Central Region Athlete of the Year. Won the 10k classic at the NCAA Central Regional Championships. Won the 20k and took second in the 10k classic at the CCSA Championship.

2007-08: Named first team All-CCSA. Placed fourth in the 20k classic and 26^th in the 10k freestyle at the NCAA Championships.  Finished second at the Central Region Ski Championships. Took home a third place finish in the 15k classic at the FIS SuperTour.  Won the 18k freestyle at the Wildcat Invite.

2006-07: Named to the CCSA All-Conference Team. Finished fourth in the 10k freestyle and seventh in the 20k classic at the NCAA Championships and for his performance he received All-American honors.  Won the10k freestyle and took third in the 15k classic at the NCAA Central Regional Championships. Finished seventh in the 9.6k freestyle and eighth in the 15k classic at the Telemark Super Tour event. Placed fifth in the 10k classic and third in the 15k freestyle at the Mt. Itasca Northern American Super Tour event.  Finished 46th in the 10k classic and 27th in the 15k freestyle at the U.S. Cross Country Skiing Championships. Earned his first varsity letter in skiing.
