Before NMU:  Played four years (2005-09) with the Victoria team in the British Columbia Hockey League.  Best year was 2008-09 when he had 52 points on 27 goals and 25 assists.  Also had 27 goals in 2007-08. Team captain in 2008-09.  Named a fan favorite for 2008 and 2009. 

Personal:  A 2006 graduate of Mount Doug High School.  Undecided on major.  Son of Sue Ellis and Mike Nugent.  Born on September 26, 1988.
