‘Cat Nips:  Will wear No. 9 this season after wearing No. 43 last year. Picked up two letters after appearing in 84 games with 19 goals, 33 assists for 52 points.  Shoots left.

2008-09:  Lettered for the second time after skating in 40 games with a career high in goals (13), assists (21) and points (33). Scored first career overtime goal at Miami in the second game of the second-round playoff series to extend the ‘Cat season (3/14). Had four points twice during the season for a career high, at Western Michigan (1/30, 1-3-4) and at Notre Dame (2/13, 0-4-4).  Had eight multi-point games during the year. Had a two-goal game at Notre Dame (2/14). Three-game goal streak (3-0-3) was a career high (11/14-21).  Tied career high (2-5-7) with a four-game assist streak (2/27-3/7).  Awarded the Ed Ward Most Improved Player and the Bill Joyce Best Forwards Awards.     

2007-08:  Lettered for the first time after appearing in 44 games.  Had 18 points on six goals and 12 assists.  Had a five-game point streak (1-4-5) from 10/19-11/2/07 for a career high.  Tallied first collegiate point on an assist against Michigan on 10/19/07.  Scored first collegiate goal against Miami on 11/2 at 12:38 of the third period.  Four-game assist streak (0-4-4) a career high (10/19-27).

Before NMU:  Skated for the Djurgarden of the Swedish J-20 superelit league for two seasons. In 2006-07, appeared in 38 games and registered 15 goals, 28 assists for 43 points.
Personal:  A 2007 graduate of Gangsatra Gymnasium. Likes to  golf and play soccer. Son of Angelica and Ola Hanson. Majoring in entrepreneurship.   Born on February 17, 1988.
