Before NMU:  Played for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL for two seasons (2006-08).  Best season was 2006-07 when he had 43 points on 21 goals and 22 assists.  In 2007-08 had 31 (6-25) points.  Also participated in football and baseball in high school.  Was all-state in football and hockey in high school.

Personal:  A 2006 graduate of St. Paul Como Park High School.  Likes to fish and hunt.  Undecided on major.  Son of Gail and Joseph Follmer.  Born on September 9, 1987.
