High School:  Lettered twice at Nouvel Catholic Central High School under Mike Boyd. Second team all-area and honorable mention all-state as a senior.  Team was two time state champions (2006-07). Also participated in basketball and track and field.

Personal:  Likes to listen to music, read and play video games.  Majoring in management.  Son of Connie and Randy Awrey.  Father is an assistant coach with the NMU football team and played on the ‘Cats 1975 national championship team. Both parents graduated from NMU.  Born on June 26, 1989.
