2008:  Lettered for the third time.  Recorded 34 total tackles (25 solo and 9 assisted).  Led team with six-and-a-half tackles-for-loss and three sacks.  Named to the GLIAC all-academic team. 

2007: Lettered for the second time. Tallied 22 total tackles (10 solo and 12 assisted).  Recorded two tackles-for-loss. Named to the GLIAC all-academic team.

2006: Lettered for the first time. Had six total tackles (three solo and three assisted). Tallied one-and-a-half sacks and one-and-a-half tackles-for-loss.

High School:  Lettered twice in football at Lake Orion High School under Chris Bell and Jason Larsen. All-league, all-metro north and an honorable mention all-county selection. Also participated in wrestling where he was captain of the team. State qualifier by placing fourth at the regional meet.

Personal: Likes to go boating. Majoring in physical education/secondary education. Brother, Aaron played football at the University of Toledo and is now a coach at West Bloomfield. Another brother, Andy, played at University of Buffalo. Son of Sarah and William Avery. Born on February 1, 1988.
