Vinny Church joins the NMU football coaching staff as a student-assistant.  He will assist the quarterbacks.

Church was a member of the NMU football team for three years.  After the 2008 season he was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Scout Team Player and also picked up the Most Inspirational Award.

The Grand Junction, Mich. native lettered three times in football at Bloomingdale High School where he was a first-team all-conference selection as a quarterback and defensive back.   Church is majoring in history/secondary education.
