High School:  Lettered three times at Marquette Senior High School under John Tiziani.  Also ran track senior year where he broke school record for 100-meter dash.  Won conference, regional and U.P. finals in 100m dash.  All-state in 100m dash and 800m relay.  Member of the All-U.P. Dream Team for track. 
Personal:  Likes to watch movies.  Majoring in athletic training.  Son of Laurie and Al Mitchell.  Father is boxing coach at the United States Olympic Education Center (USOEC), located on the NMU campus and has coached professional fighters to world title and boxers in Olympic Games.  Born on January 8, 1990.
