The Blue Line Club was established in 1982 to support the intercollegiate ice hockey program at Northern Michigan University, ensuring that it is competitive with, or superior to, other comparable ice hockey programs in the United States. Members’ donations assist the program with scholarships, recruiting and equipment.
There are several levels of membership, but that all have the same goal in mind – helping make NMU intercollegiate hockey as strong as possible.

The Blue Line Club hosts luncheon's on most home game Fridays. The luncheons begin at noon, are open to the public, and the cost is $8.50 per person. The luncheons for 2008-09 are as follows.

October 18 - 4th Period Reception at Hudson's
November 29 - 4th Period Reception at Vango's
December 20 - Wildcat Room Social with a cash bar
January 23 - Wildcat Room Social with a cash bar
January 24 - 4th Period Reception at the Landmark Inn
February 7 - Annual Club Appreciation Party at Walt and Ann Kyle's
February 27 - Wildcat Room Social with a cash bar
February 28 - 4th Period Reception at the Casa Calabria
