The Wildcat Cheerleading squad is a coed unit who rock the Superior Dome and Berry Events Center with team spirit during Northern basketball, football and hockey games.
The NMU team has qualified for nationals three times and has placed in several Midwest competitions. The team focuses on crowd involvement, mounts, gymnastics and partner stunting.
Next try-out opportunity: April 12 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.and April 13 noon - 4 p.m.in PEIF gym 150.

The NMU Dance Team has a mission to use music and movement to spark the crowds at Wildcat athletic events. The squad has an average size of about 12-15 members.
Any NMU student who would like to be on the pom pom/dance team is welcome to try out.
The team practices three times a week and performs at home football games, most men’s and women’s basketball games, and some volleyball matches during the fall and winter semesters.
