The Fall Sports Kick-off is a free community event hosted by the Northern Michigan University Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports Department.
2008 Fall Sports Kick-off
The 2008 "Fall Sports Kick-Off" was held on Saturday, Sept. 6 in front of the Superior Dome and had over 3,500 participants. The 2008 event was free of charge and featured an antique car show, the NMu Marching Band, pony rides, games and activities with NMU student-athletes, a dunk tank, a buffet lunch from Econo Foods, and much, much more.
The NMU Intercollegiate Athletics and Rec Sports Department would like to thank Econo Foods, Q107, ESPN Radio, WLUC TV6, the Mining Journal, and Wells Fargo for helping sponsor the event.

2007 Fall Sports Kick-off
The 2007 "Fall Sports Kick-Off", held on Saturday, Sept. 8, featured inflatable games, carnival games, a dunk tank, pony rides, clowns, the inflatable 'Cat head, NMU student-athletes and coaches, Wildcat Willy, a Root Beer Float Bar, the Jilbert's Cow, and the NMU Marching Band. Over 3,000 people attended the free community event.The NMU Intercollegiate Athletics and Rec Sports Department would like to thank Econo Foods, Northern Star Broadcasting, and the Mining journal for helping in the sponsorship of the event.

Carnival games such as plinko, ladder golf, bean bag toss, face painting, clowns, golf and strength challenges were enjoyed by all





Free food, beverages, and root beer floats were provided by Econo Foods. 
The Jilberts Dairy cow even attended the event! 
An inflatable slide and obstacle course were prominent attractions at the event



The Wildcat fans moved from the Fall Kick-Off Party into the Dome for the kick-off of the first home football game for the 2007 season
