"This is a great program and I'm very glad I am in it. I can already see it will be very helpful in the next two years as I prepare for college."
- Upward Bound Student
Simply put, it is never too early to start preparing for college. Whether it is working hard to raise your high school grade point average or filling out the FAFSA your senior year, there are many things that you can do to make attending college a reality. Freshmen need to focus on setting a good base for their GPAs and cementing their study skills; sophomores and juniors need to study hard for the ACT (or SAT, depending on where you want to go to college) and begin the hunt for scholarships; and seniors need to fill out the FAFSA, complete college applications and continue to apply for scholarships. During all four years, students must focus on a college-prep curriculum of challenging classes and on gaining the knowledge and skills that it will take to be successful in high school, college and beyond.
