Freshman Students Travel to Milwaukee

A group of eight Honors Program freshman students traveled with Honors Program Director Michael Broadway to Milwaukee in early October.  It was a weekend trip to attend a performance of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, but as one student commented many of the highlights of the trip were unplanned.

Honors student, Morgan Raether said, "The trip down the river walk ended up being a lot more than a nice stroll.  We got to see lots of different architecture and the river was beautiful.  We also walked around outside of the art museum.  The structure was incredible, it was in the shape of a ship and was one of the most magnificent things any of us had ever seen."

"The entire trip was a learning experience about more than Milwaukee; we also learned about each other.  The eight of us students bonded a lot and had lots of fun together," said Morgan.  The students all agreed that it was a truly memorable trip which culminated in a wonderful performance by the Milwaukee Symphony.
