This will be a holiday program focusing on naciementos, the Spanish term for artistic depictions of the Christmas story, where several dozen will be on display and a program about Las Posadas will be presented. Las Posadas means “the inns” or “the shelters” in Spanish, and is a religious and social celebration that takes place for nine nights from December 16-24. While in San Antonio, Carol’s family took part in onenight’s activities of this Hispanic tradition that dates to the16th century. Some of the most interesting nativity acquisitions come from the South American countries and SW states of the U.S. Come, enjoy the music of the Las Posadas along with a special treat or two.
