This presentation will focus around a recent Alaskan travel adventure while showing digital photos taken from Vancouver, B.C, by ship to Juneau and Skagway, then an eight-day land tour by bus, boat and rail to Whitehorse and Dawson in the Yukon Klondike Gold Country (still active today), and then on to Fairbanks, to Denali National Park with an eight-hour tour near Mt. Denali (McKinley), and ending in Anchorage. Hear how the Dobson’s panned $31 worth of gold, saw the Alaska pipeline, visited the area of the Klondike Gold Strike and the city of 10,000 at Grand Forks, now entirely gone. Listen to stories about the wildlife, Follies entertainment, shopping time, and lots of educational information. Handouts will be provided, with time available for questions.
