Welcome Returning Students

Welcome back to Northern Michigan University. International Programs is excited that you have returned to NMU. The mission of our department is to provide the support you need to excel during your college career.

It is very important that you check in with NMU International Programs so you will remain in status with the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. When you check-in staff can also help you with any unresolved enrollment, notebook computer, or housing issues.

University Housing is generally not available until Wednesday of Orientation week, and there is an additional fee for non-contract days.

If you fly into Marquette, Michigan you will arrive at K.I Sawyer International Airport. Students needing transportation from the airport to campus please send your travel itinerary to the Office of International Programs (ipo@nmu.edu) and we will assist with your transportation arrangements.
