NMU Golf Course

Golf course and driving range are OPEN

The NMU Golf Course, formerly known as Chocolay Downs, is part of Northern Michigan University and is located in the southern part of the city of Marquette, Mich., about nine miles from  NMU's main campus.

The course is a Jerry and Bruce Mathews III design. Its ninth hole is among the world's largest golfing greens. It is surrounded by wooded areas, homes and condos.

In 1993, the course saw the completion of its full 18 holes. It features  a fair amount of roll to it with few traps and very little water. Golfers also enjoy the modern clubhouse and very competitive rates.
