ALLIES Scholarship for Student Leader Development

Recipients must provide a written statement (1000 words), documenting their leadership, support or involvement in organizations, activities or issues that promote awareness and acceptance of the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender (GLBT) community at Northern Michigan University. 

Selection Process:

Qualified applications will be reviewed by the appropriate selection committee. Recipients will be notified by the Financial Aid Office.

Applications for privately funded scholarships are currently being accepted for the 2010-2011 academic year.

First, determine which scholarship you are interested in applying for. Please review the criteria carefully to make sure you fit the eligibility requirements for the scholarship.

Then, review the Application Instructions and FAQs, complete, print and submit the scholarship application to the Financial Aid office.

2010-2011 Scholarship Application and Instructions

The deadline for submitting applications is February 26, 2010.

Notifications to award recipients will begin May 2010 and continue through August 2010.

Note: If you wish to be considered for need-based awards, you will need to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the Financial Aid Office.
