
Based on Puccini's La Boheme, Rent is the story of love and loyalty among starving artists in New York's East Village. While Puccini's Parisian bohemians are afflicted with tuberculosis -- for Larson, the modern equivalent was AIDS, a disease which had struck down several of his closest friends.
Winner of the 1996 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award as Best Musical.
Performances are February 17-20, 2010 at 7:30p.m. with a special matinee on February 20 at 1:00 p.m.
