Teaching Assistants

The First Year Programs Office is looking for highly-motivated, dependable students to serve as Teaching Assistants for UN 100 Freshman Seminar classes in fall 2009.

To apply, you must have  have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be free from disciplinary probation in accordance with the NMU Student Code.

Note: This is an unpaid teaching internship and an incredible mentoring opportunity!

First Year Programs Teaching Assistant  Application Procedure

First Year Programs is digitizing its application process. All applications, letters of reference, etc. should be submitted in a digital format (MS Word, PDF, e-mail), if at all possible.

Please follow these steps:

1. Go to the online application to begin.
2. Fill out the form and essay. Select appropriate semester for application. Hit the "Submit Application" button.
3. Have a letter of recommendation sent via e-mail if possible. If not, submit it in person at the FYP Office in room 2001 Hedgcock.

Returning TAs need not submit a letter of reference or essay, but an updated application form should be submitted.
