UN 100: Freshman Seminar

Freshman Probation Program

Students in ClassThe block of courses each freshman probation students is placed in consists of 12-14 credit hours their first semester. Being part of a block helps them get to know other students on campus quickly since they interact with each other in multiple courses.

College Transitions Program
handsThe College Transitions Program serves students who show a strong potential for success but don't meet NMU's admissions requirements. These students are enrolled at Northern under conditional status. The program is designed to help students make it through their first semester successfully and to give them the tools necessary for them to complete their academic programs.
