The Financial Aid Office will be open from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (ET), Monday-Friday.  We are located in 2107 C.B. Hedgcock. When you visit our office, we ask to see a photo I.D. and you will also need to inform us of your NMU identification number. You can find your NMU IN by clicking on View Account Status at http://myuser.nmu.edu

Financial Aid Award Notification
When will you know about your financial aid package for the 2009-2010 school  year? New students will receive notification through the mail in mid/late March. Current NMU students will receive an e-mail or by visiting MyNMU.

If you are making any adjustments to your fall semester schedule, please review the Drop and Add Policy

We will not recalculate Federal Pell, ACG, SMART and TEACH Grants based on a change in enrollment that occurs after September 1.


Key Dates
If you will be attending NMU in 2009-10, please review these dates:
  • Oct. 30:  Last day to drop a full semester course with a "W" grade
  • Nov. 13:  Last day to drop a second block course with a "W" grade
  • Dec. 7:  Exam week
  • Dec. 12:  Commencement
  • Dec. 15:  Grades due from faculty
  • Jan. 6-8:  Orientation for new students
  • Jan. 11:  First day of the 2010 Winter Semester
  • Feb. 14:  College Goal Sunday
