The Sociology and Social Work Department is a combined department with major programs in sociology and social work. The department head is the primary administrator for the department. Because we offer a Council on Social Work Education-accredited bachelor of social work program, the department also has a social work program director who is specifically responsible for the operation of the BSW program. In addition, social work offers field instruction internships as part of the BSW degree. For questions or information related to field placement, please contact the field placement coordinator.
