Graduate Certificate in Public Management (CPM)

Northern Michigan University’s Political Science and Public Administration Department will offer a graduate Certificate in Public Management (CPM) starting in fall 2008. The certificate will be a one-year program with eight credit hours in the fall and eight credit hours in the winter. Courses will be taught in a hybrid format, a combination of online courses and meeting on campus four Saturday’s each semester. All credits will transfer into NMU’s Master of Public Administration degree for students who desire to continue their education.

Winter 2009
PS 501: Public Policy Analysis (4 credits)
PS 524: Politics of Public Budgeting (2 credits)
PS 528: Seminar in Public Personnel (2 credits)
