Virginia L. Stallbaumer

    Virginia Stallbaumer was born and raised in Detroit Michigan.  The youngest of three children, she attended Hazel Park High School, where she graduated in 1971.  Prior to graduating, Ms. Stallbaumer also earned a license to practice Cosmetology.  In June 1972, she enlisted in the Virginia L. StallbaumerUnited States Marine Corps. 

    Her first assignment was to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina where she graduated in Aug 1972.  During her twenty years plus service with the United States Marine Corps she worked primarily in law enforcement where she was one of the first female Military Policemen and then Criminal Investigator.  During a four year break from law enforcement, she served as a unit Career Planner in the HQ Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where she was recognized as the best Marine career planner on the East Cost, having attained the highest number of Marine reenlistments during FY 1990.  She retired from the USMC in July 1992.  

    Her next assignment with the Military was in 1998, when she accepted the Human Resources position with the Army ROTC at Michigan Tech University, Houghton, MI.

In August 2004 she moved to Colorado where she continued her career with the Army ROTC as the Human Resources Tech for the Golden Buffalo Battalion and in April 2009 she accepted her current position as the Human Resources Tech at Northern Michigan University the Wildcat Battalion.

    Mrs. Stallbaumer’s military education background is as follows:  she has attended the Military Police Investigator Course at Fort Gordon, GA, the Criminal Investigation Course at Fort McClellan, AL, Career Counselor Course at Norfolk, VA and many other law enforcement course’s with both Federal and State agencies.  Her civilian educational background is a Degree in Criminal Justice.

    Her USMC Awards and Decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal, two Navy Achievement Medals, two National Defense Medals,  Overseas Service Ribbon with two stars and two meritorious promotions.

Her Department of the Army Civil Services Awards includes three meritorious cash awards, one meritorious grade promotion and three quality step increases.

Mrs. Stallbaumer lives in Marquette, MI with her husband, Lynn and their two cats, Stormy and Fluffy.
