ROTC Gives to Community

Run-A-Thon Generates Over  $1000 for the Jacobetti Home for Veterans

The NMU ROTC program donated over $1000 at 10:00am on Feb.28 to the Jacobetti Home for Veterans. The money will go towards the Membership Assistance Program, This  programs aids and provides glasses, vision test, and hearing aids for those who are in need throughout the area.

The donation was earned through a Run-A-Thon put together by Sophmore Cadet John Pfiester. Cadets in the battalion took donations based on the number of laps they ran or in the form of a simple sum donation. Cadets then ran laps in the dome for a period of 2-3 hours leadingto distances of between 5-15 miles.
