Students who live in Van Antwerp Hall pride themselves aa being a part of a “Wellness Hall”. VA is known as “The Wellness Hall” because the atmosphere promotes an overall wellness of mind, body, and spirit. VA also includes one academic house where residents are expected to maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA. As a LEED certified building, Van Antwerp was fully renovated during the summer of 2007 and is being evaluated under the U.S. Green Building Council. Van Antwerp has a friendly atmosphere where students strongly identify with their communities and express a high level of Wildcat Spirit. Some traditions students participate in are Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Marquette and the “Van Antwerp Cardboard Castle Competition.” Van Antwerp has one all male house, one all female house and four co-ed houses, and is building number 74 on the campus map.
