What's New in Spooner Hall

Check back here often to learn about new events going on in Spooner and pictures of all the fun happens around the hall.

Upcoming Events:

  • Spooner Hall government will be meeting every Sunday night at 8pm in the social lounge. These meetings are open to everyone!
  • Comic Strip is trying to change it's house name and do a paint project soon. See RA Katlynn for more information.
  • Spooner Hall is collecting pop can tops for the American Legion. Collection cans will be in each kitchenette.
  • Spooner will be hosting a pancake dinner on Sunday, October 25 at 7:30pm in the social lounge.
  • Halloween is coming up and we will be decorating the first floor for trick-or-treaters! We will also be having a Halloween party on October 31 from 8pm to 11pm in the social lounge, where you can bring your own adult beverage and there will be a costume contest!
  • Spooner Hall will be playing Zombies v. Humans starting November 2. Sign up at the front desk today to play!

2009-2010 in Spooner Hall:

  • Hosted a Welcome Back BBQ during Welcome Weekend.
  • Weekly capture the flag games on the University Center Lawn
  • Participated in the fourth annual all hall kickball tourney.
  • Hosted a Superior Edge orientation.
  • Volunteered at Marquette's Strut Your Mutt fundraiser for the Marquette Humane Society.
  • Comic Strip went kayaking at Teal Lake in Negaunee.
  • Participated in Homecoming.
  • Bourbon Street had a Coney Dog dinner night.
  • All Hall Trip to the Hayes Corn Maze
  • West v. Spooner Capture the Flag
  • Hosted Health Promotion's Specialist Lenny Shible
  • Participated in Make A Difference Day

Superior Edge: Fall 2009

Spooner Hall has 29 residents involved in the Superior Edge Program and as of October 26 have logged 126.5 hours.
