Hunt Hall is a community that encourages new ideas and nurtures one’s character and academic goals. Hunt prides itself on its open-minded atmosphere and family feel. The students strive for Hunt to be a place where everyone feels welcome. Hunt Hall’s strong traditions are responsible for bringing students together, and creating an engaged environment. Examples of Hunt Hall traditions include annual camp-outs, hikes and cookouts, the annual Hunt Hall Talent Show, the “Arctic Plunge”, and its holiday feasts. Hunt is all co-ed and is building number 73 on the campus map. Hunt Hall was fully renovated during the summer of 2008.

Resident Director – Kristy Brzezinski,

Kristy Brzezinski was raised in Manistique, Michigan and graduated from Iron Mountain High school. She received her undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in social welfare form NMU. Prior to becoming the Resident Director of Hunt Hall, Kristy was a community advisor for the on-campus apartments. She plans to begin her master's degree in training and development in the 2008. Kristy is also the proud mother to her 14 year-old son, Dustin.

Hunt Hall, opened in 1967, is named after Lucian Hunt, the former head of NMU’s Physical Science and Chemistry department.
