Jason Lofquist (pictured above) is one of four mechanical engineering students taking advantage of the partnership that exists between Northern Michigan University and Pioneer Surgical Technology, which is less than a mile down the road from the Jacobetti Center. Lofquist joins NMU students Craig Wiseman, Tim Metulewicz and Jesse Nye in discovering real-world applications to the skills they're learning in the classroom. Full story

Hedberg Named Outstanding Graduate

David Hedberg was selected as the Engineering Technology Department’s Outstanding Graduating Senior. He was recognized at the NMU Honors Banquet. David began his career at NMU in the Freshman Fellows program and has remained active across campus. NWTC Entrance NMU Articulation Agreement with NWTC

Northern Michigan University has entered an articulation agreement with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College that guarantees NWTC students who hold associate degrees in electrical electronics technology the ability to complete a bachelor’s at NMU in as little as two years, regardless of curriculum changes.  Full Story
