INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM RECEIVES HONORS

At it's 81st annual convention and student competition on May 6-9, 2009, the Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society awarded scholarships to students interested in pursuing a professional career as an Industrial Education, Technology Education or Career and Technical Education teacher.  The two young men pictured above (Barrett Willard (left) and Gary Herschell (right)) each received a scholarship based on their educational progress and grade point averages well above 3.50.  Both students consistently make the Dean’s List.  Congratulations to Barrett and Gary!  Read more

Marsha Page is the recipient of the 2009 Marquette-Alger Reading Council Elementary Teacher of the Year Award.  Read more

Four students from ED 361 Special Education and the General Classroom Teacher received the 2009 TLC Student Award in the Learning Improvement category for their Learning Disabilities Debunked video at the Celebration of Student Research, creative works and academic service learning.  The four students are Trisha Pepin, Emily Engelhardt, Anthony LaMalfa, and Edward Donatell.
