Criminal Justice Internship Program Qualifications

To qualify for a criminal justice internship, you must:Meeting

  • Be a criminal justice major pursuing a bachelor's degree.
  • Complete the following classes: 
    • CJ 110
    • CJ 212 or CJ 220
    • CJ 263
    • CJ 315
    • EN111
    • EN 211
    • 3-4 credits of natural sciences/math courses
    • 3-4 credits of social sciences course and
    • 3-4 credits of humanities courses.
  • Have at least a 2.7 overall grade point average.
  • Apply for the criminal justice internship.
  • Enroll in 4 to 16 credits of CJ 491 during the semester of your criminal justice internship. (Internship credits are considered general elective credits.  They do not apply toward the criminal justice major or minor.)
  • Work 40 hours per semester for each credit of CJ 491.
