Jay Peterson is an adjunct faculty member of the Criminal Justice Department.  Jay is currently employed as a Detective Sgt. with the Michigan State Police and assigned to the Marquette Forensic Laboratory as a Latent Fingerprint Examiner.  Jay is a 1995 graduate of NMU and received his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. 
Jay has been with the Michigan State Police since 1997 and has worked as a Trooper at the St. Ignace Post, A Detective Trooper in undercover narcotics and was promoted to Detective Sgt. in 2007.
